SHOOT - Something Blue - Outdoors

Gorgeous styled shoot at the epic Chateau Yering by with our Phoebe gowns.

as featured on White Magazine

‘Something Blue’ captures the coolness of the season and that exceptional mix of wild undone elegance. This styled shoot planned by Dancing & Dessert feels luxurious and classic but still reflects the sensual tangles of nature in the Yarra Valley.

The colour palette took advantage of the many shades of blue, concentrating on cool pale hues and juxtaposing, but not over shadowing, the historical and luxurious Chateau Yering Hotel with modern gold, marble, and white elements.

The seasonal flora cascaded and flowed, playing with the traditional idea of a bouquet and centrepiece. We wanted to create intimacy at the table so instead of a centrepiece or flower runner we erected two towers, topped with cascading foliage, that framed our couple instead of separating them. Her bouquet matched the wild Victorian landscape and coolness of winter.

The bride was wrapped in delicate lace, decorated with beading, and draped in sheer fabrics, once again balancing gracefully between traditional and contemporary. Her handsome groom carried his charm in a classic blue suit topped stylishly with a black bow tie.

The cake, pale blue, with delicate gold details, sat atop organic silk fabrics and was consumed with bubbles amongst candlelight.

The end of the night had the couple escape into the wilderness amongst plumes of smoke and in the ethereal glow of twilight.
